Wood drying

Wood dryer

Wood drying is very important for building constructions, when drying wood cracks, moist wood increases in dimension. Moist wood is not suitable for any use, so all wood for industrial use must be dried first. Drying – it is the removal of water (moisture) from the wood. Growth of bacteria, fungi and mould reactivate due to moisture, which damages the wood. In dryers, when drying the wood at high temperatures, all this can be avoided, it does not need to be impregnated with antiseptics. The wood is usually dried in a stably stacked package, by putting a row of gaskets between the wood beams or boards, the pitch of which should be at least of 80 cm.
